Arthur J. Jolin (1873-1959) and Sadie (Sarah) Watson (unknown)

"Still working on a "history" of my grandfather Arthur. All that I can remember about him is the fact that he loved making Adirondak patio furniture. Don't know if he made it for sale or just for friends. He must have sold it because I do not remember ever seeing any at our house there in Waterville on Eastern Ave. But I sure loved sitting in his lap outside in one of those great chairs. His was such a quiet man, and let the others do most of the talking and my step grandmother sure could talk!!!"

Laurette's Aunt Cecile put this picture in the paper. Arthur was born 31 Aug. 1876. He died 3 April 1959, all this info according to Waterville Hall of Records. But she was a loving tiny daughter. She stood 4'8", weighed a whopping 87lbs.

His second mariage produced one child that we are aware of. The first marriage is the continuing line. The next link will be Fred Jolin.

Here's a bizarre little story for all of you "small world" fanatics. My Mom Retha was in the hospital in 1988, and while she was there, a nurse approached her and said "I noticed your last name, and wanted to say hi", and it turned out to be none other than Laurette's Aunt Exilda's grandaughter Delores (Porlier) Robertson! Small World!
